Overview

Peace, quiet and tranquillity in the bush surrounded by nature, fantastic views and wildlife is where Glen Lough Cabins is situated. Romance, short break or longer relaxing or enjoy the area– national parks, wineries and more that the Granite Belt has to offer. Any time of year the climate is welcoming

Summer is cooler with little humidity, enjoy the night sky on the deck after a hike in Girraween park or the wineries. Enjoy the walks on the property, the birds, the great view, the creek, and relax. Each cabin a large deck with mountain views, outdoor settings and barbecues. Queen size bed with ensuite, separate living area and full kitchen – large fridge, full cooker/oven, microwave, salt & pepper, olive oil, and complimentary continental breakfast.

The disability cabin is open, there are not many short-term facilities like this around, try to find one as good as this, an almost impossible task. A full wet room and roll-in shower, grab rails and a raised toilet – any disabled person can come and enjoy the Granite Belt and get your comfort too. Lower height fixtures which greatly enhances accessibility, wide doorways and open plan floors for easy manoeuvrability.

The cabin can really cater to the disabled but also very suitable for anyone as it is so tastefully done, appealing for anyone looking for a getaway!

Teach Bean Si (House of the Fairy woman)

Teach Bean Si has views out over the mountains and valleys where you can sit out on the large deck and enjoy the luxury bush cabin, it has a seperate bedroom with a luxury queen bed and ensuite. the ensuite has Australian handmade natural toiletries for your exclusive use. It is certainly a home away from home but with a difference, here you can unwind, slow down, enjoy the peace with a fully equiped kitchen and all the little items you forget to bring allready here for you. De-stress out on the deck while enjoying the beautiful scenery

Teach na Pooka (House of the Irish Fairy Creature)

You might see some of the fairies if you are lucky….. but you will see the wildlife and our resident kangaroo if you sit quietly Just sitting on the deck quietly watching all the wildlife and the abundance of birds that are in the trees is so relaxing that you will not want to leave. Teach na Pooka offers a great view out over the mountains, you can while away an hour or too just admiring the view. Enjoy relaxing in the sitting room with a cozy wood burner for those cold nights and air conditioning for the hot nights. There is a new fully fitted kitchen with a freestanding cooker (full oven) and a full fridge, so you have everything you need to if you want to eat in along with the basics so you dont need to bring them with you There is a separate bedroom with queen size bed which has an en-suite along with luxury complimenatary toiletries for use. On the deck, we have a BBQ and outdoor furniture which is ideal for you to sit with your camera and get that sunset captured along with the starry night sky unblemised by city lights

Teach na Codlach (House of Dreaming)

This is a great cabin for dreaming if that is what you desire but also just sitting and looking out at the view. Dream and snooze your time away while relaxing in your brand new cabin or maybe out and about visiting all the attractions that abound in the Granite Belt, then come home to a cozy wood burner and put your feet up after a scrumptious lunch/dinner out with a glass of wine from one of the many eateries in the Granite Belt. Enjoy your complimenatary continental breakfast hamper after having a great night's sleep in the brand new queen sized bed in the quiet of the night If you prefer you can cook in our fully fitted kitchen with a freestanding cooker (full oven) and a full fridge, along the basics you need so you dont need to bring these with you or cook outside on the new BBQ while enjoying the country air After a day exploring enjoy a nice hot shower with our complementary luxury toiletries supplied for your use

The disability cabin is now open and it is so exciting, there are not many short-term facilities like this around, try to find one as good as this, an almost impossible task – get your comfort and be in the middle of nature too. This cabin passes all relevant legislation, you can get around this cabin with no problem, a full wet room is at your disposal, non-slip floors throughout the cabin, and a full deck for you to sit and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets or listen to the chorus of chirping birds and lively wildlife, what an enchanting ambiance. All the cabins also have a fully fitted kitchen so are fully self-catering with a BBQ out on the deck along with an outdoor setting. Throughout the cabin, we have lower height fixtures which greatly enhance accessibility for individuals with mobility impairments along with wide doorways and open plan floors for easy maneuverability The cabin can really cater to the disabled but is also very suitable for anyone as it is so tastefully done and so appealing for anyone looking for a getaway in the bush!!
