Top Value Granite Belt Wine Experiences: Only $5 to $20!
We’ve put together a list of really cool wine experiences on the Granite Belt – all without a big price tag. You’ll be surprised what you can get for as little as $5 around Stanthorpe and Ballandean…
The $5 Winery Tour & Vertical Tasting Experience
Pay only $5 per person for an incredible personalised wine tour experience at Casley Mount Hutton Winery. The tour includes a winery tour with winemaker Grant Casley, where you’ll be given a behind the scenes explanation of the wine making process.
Also included in the tour is a vertical tasting experience in their cellar door! Psst… it’s for this experience that Gourmet Traveller WINE awarded them the Granite Belt Best Cellar Door – Additional Experience award for 2019! For those unfamiliar with the concept, a vertical tasting is when you’re given a taste of the same wine variety across various vintages (same wine compared across different years produced). Taste medal winning wines including Queensland’s best Shiraz several years running and Strange Bird varieties (which are rare varieties of less that 1% of total Australian vintage).
And for the final knock-out punch in this top value experience… your $5 per person is refundable on purchase of wine at their cellar door overlooking the vineyard!
Couples and small groups are welcomed to drop in during the winery open days and the tour is available at any time. Groups of 6 more more and tours outside opening hours are required to phone book in advance.

With the tour finishing up around lunch time, consider booking lunch onsite at ‘Paola’s the Winemakers Kitchen’ (they do lunches Saturdays and Sundays 12.00 to 3.00pm).
