February to April

Apple & Grape Harvest Season

All of Queensland’s apples are grown here (1 million trees!)…

  • Drive through the apple orchards
  • Eat apple pie on the farm, drink local apple ciders and juices

Queensland’s wine region…

  • Meet the winemakers – visit a winery during grape harvest
  • Dozens of cellar doors, taste emerging wine varieties
  • Get hands-on at in the winemaking action

Autumn colours in the vineyards and trees are stunning in April and early May.

June to August

Brass Monkey Season

Get ready for a cool adventure in Stanthorpe – Queensland’s coldest town!

  • Snuggle in a cosy cottage by the fireplace
  • Qld’s best location for Christmas in July
  • Hop from wineries to breweries

September to October

Apple Blossom Season

September and October is Apple Blossom Season in Queensland’s Granite Belt.

  • Take a country drive to see Stanthorpe’s one million apple trees burst into blossom (end of September to mid-October)
  • Visit vineyards as they burst with new spring growth (it’s called bud burst!)
  • Wildflowers appear in Girraween National Park
  • See stone fruit orchards in blossom (end of August, early September)

December to January

Christmas Season

Queensland’s Must-Do Christmas Location!

  • Choose your own Christmas tree at the farm!
  • Pick cherries and take home boxes of summer stone fruits
  • Buy Queensland wines for summer celebrations
  • Buy Christmas gifts from the bush
