Location: Stanthorpe, Granite Belt Wine Country, Queensland

  Bush Rock Gallery displays resident artist, Graeme Schreiber’s original paintings and limited edition giclée prints.  Paintings are mainly landscapes and wildlife subjects and are done in realistic and semi abstract styles. Studio open to visitors at 29 Hoey Ln, Thorndale, 10am – 4pm most days (closes 1pm Sundays).  To be certain it’s open on the day you’re visiting phone mob: 0419 216 131  

What made you decide to become a potter?

“A curiosity about painting pictures”  

Did you have a career before?

“Yes, civil engineer for 25yrs.”  

What does your day-to-day look like?

“Some painting, framing and gardening, depending on the day”  

Do you have a favourite work, or one you are most excited about?

“Favourite work presently is a large painting of yellow tailed black cockatoos in my gallery.”  

Do you have a favourite tool in your trade, that you just couldn’t work without?

“A one inch flat brush.”  

What do you wish everyone knew about your art work?

“That I paint a wide range of subjects, from landscape to still life to semi abstract.”  

Is there anything else you would like the audience to know?

“I have my own gallery called Bush Rock Gallery that incorporates a picture framing studio.”  

When you’re not making art, what do you like to do out and about on the Granite Belt?

“When not making art I like to potter around the garden with my partner Carol.”  

Can people meet you at your Gallery?
