What made you decide to become a winemaker?

“Family history”  

What did your introduction to winemaking look like?

“Very little sleep for 3 months….first harvest.”  

Did you have a career before winemaking?

“No”  

What does your day-to-day actually look like?

“Depending on the season. Currently (August 2020) pruning and bottling 2020 Whites and 2018 Reds.”  

Do you have a favourite product, or one you are most excited about?

“Yes …Nero D’Avola in terracotta Amphora from Panzano, Italy.”  

Do you have a favourite tool in your trade, that you just couldn’t live/work without?

“So many …”  

What do you wish everyone knew about your products?

“How much work and energy goes into each and every bottle.”  

When you’re not winemaking, what do you like to do?

“Endurance horse riding …surfing brake away to the coast.”  

Where you’ll find Abraham…

“When needed, I help out in cellar door.”  (Most days Marty or Ewen are the people meeting visitors to the cellar door, however Abraham isn’t far away in the winery section and often pops in to help in the cellar door).”
