The STUNNING EXCLUSIVELY WINTER Cellar Door

Savina Lane Cellar Door

Savina Lane Wines is an unfamiliar spot to even many of the regular visitors of the Granite Belt. Open for visitors exclusively during winter, it’s a spot well worth seeking out.

This ‘oh so suave’ Stanthorpe cellar door is MADE for crisp winter days… sinking into leather lounges, sipping stunning wines by the fire and looking out over the crisp wintery vineyards. This spot is quintessential Granite Belt winter with wine.

OPEN BY APPOINTMENT FROM JUNE 10

While Savina Lane Wines opens year-round exclusively at the whim of its most dedicated fans (their ‘The Inner Circle’ wine members) all other visitors must await the invitation to make an appointment and right now that invitation is being made for all visitors this winter. The cellar door will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10th June 2023 and through winter until wine stocks run out.

TOP 50 VINEYARD OF THE YEAR in 2022!

Brad and Cheryl Hutchings

Everything about this cellar door is beautifully crafted, from the building’s presentation, to of course the fine wines.  Savina Lane offers a taste of what the Granite Belt does best, producing exciting alternative variety wines: Petit Manseng, Fiano, Viognier, Tempranillo, Montepulciano and Graciano.

If a superb cool climate Shiraz is your idea of the perfect winter wine, there is a a fine drop available from the estate’s 60 year old vines.  Meet the passionate vignerons, Brad and Cheryl Hutchings, who tell the story of these old vines and why production from them has produced tiny quantities in the last few vintages during their ongoing rehabilitation.  Never fear, there’s still plenty of Shiraz flowing for tasters!

Before coming to Savina Lane, Brad, a qualified Agronomist, spent a long working life as a consultant in horticulture, agri-business, marketing and project development and Cheryl was a writer and Creative Director in the advertising industry – but the couple’s passion has always been good wine and Brad’s lifetime goal has been to get his hands back into the earth, having started out working on a New Zealand farm when still in his teens.

Savina Lane Wines Snow

It can snow on occasions at Stanthorpe on Queensland’s Granite Belt and just look how stunning Savina Lane Wines looks dusted in snow!  Let’s hope a major snow event will come during winter to blanket the vineyards white again.

Whether the snow falls or not, the frosty weather will undoubtedly deliver beautiful silvery frosts and send you to the cosy indoors for another glass by the fire!
