1. Girraween National Park

5. The Ballandean Pyramid
What a surprise to find that Ballandean has its own pyramid! It’s on private land, but it’s a must to grab a pic from the roadside (about 25m from the pyramid). The stone pyramid sits 45 feet high and was built of local granite chunks left over from a construction project. It’s close to the New England Highway, but closer access is via Eukey Road through to Jacobson Road just north of the village of Ballandean.  …More about the Pyramid

6. Thulimbah Railway Siding & Track
This picture perfect railway siding will have you stopping in your tracks, literally.
