The Folly Truffles

Truffle hunts run on weekends during truffle season (June to August). The hunts commence with a walk and talk through the truffiere where you are invited to follow truffle dog Barry as he sniffs for the elusive black gold. Guides Ben and Maple will explain the whole process of truffle farming and truffle hunting, from planting to paddock to plate. Guests are invited to get down on the ground and sniff for truffles, get their hands dirty and pose for photos with ripe truffles. Due to seasonal variability, not all truffles will be able to be harvested on the day. Upon conclusion of the tour guests are invited to relax back at the truffle cottage, where Maple will demonstrate how to prepare a simple French peasant lunch, complete with a glass of wine in an informal and intimate atmosphere. A laid-back, yet informative way to pass an afternoon.
